This is me.
Ok, full disclosure, this is me a year ago. I am very pregnant right now and I hate to admit it, but I have tried really hard to avoid the camera for the past 8 months. I am a 20-something year old Georgia girl living in the Midwest with my husband, Pace while he completes his pediatrics residency at St. Louis Children's Hospital.
We met in 2006 at a Georgia Tech fraternity formal. This is a picture of us exactly a year later. Would you believe that all three of the couples in the picture are happily married?
We got married in 2008 right before Pace started medical school in Augusta, Georgia. (This picture is one of my favorites! This is right after he accidentally head butted me on the dance floor) Moving to Augusta from Atlanta was a difficult transition. New city. New Marriage. New Job. New friends. Lots of change all at once! However, God was so faithful during that time. He provided us with the very best of friends, blessed our marriage with incredible, Godly mentors and provided all of our needs while Pace was a student for four years.
In 2012, we relocated to St. Louis for residency. Again we were faced with lots of change: New city. Difficult Residency Schedules. New jobs for both of us.New church. New Friends. Throughout the quick transition, we felt completely provided for. Now, almost two years after our move, I still feel overwhelmed by the sweet people we've met in St. Louis, our church family and all of the ways we've been taken care of.
Now-- we are facing new changes.... and a new baby! In December (or maybe sooner) we will welcome Elizabeth Lois Johnston into our lives. This blog will follow us as we transition into parenthood trusting that once again the Lord will provide for us.
